MAKE ONLY WHAT IS NEEDEED

I believe in making only what is needed. My collections are created in small batches, with the aim of selling out. This practice reduces waste and ensures our pieces are made thoughtfully, with appropriate time and care.

RESPONSIBLE SOURCING OF MATERIALS

I try as much as possible to use raw materials that have minimal impact on the environment, like using Abaca, a natural leaf fiber that comes from a relative of the banana tree family native to the Philippines that grows throughout tropical regions. The abaca plant matures within 18-24 months, enabling frequent harvests without depleting natural resources. Unlike synthetic fibers derived from fossil fuels, Abaca is biodegradable, meaning it naturally decomposes over time, reducing waste and minimizing its impact on landfills. Abaca waste materials are also used as organic fertilizer.

The majority of the leathers I use are sourced from tanneries that was certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG), an organization that works to promote sustainable environmental practices in the leather industry.

ENCOURAGING CRAFTSMANSHIP AND SUPPORTING WORKERS

We partner with small-scale independent manufacturers who share our commitment to quality and ethical practices. Our journey takes us to various corners of the globe, where we work with artisans who bring their expertise to every piece. We believe in the importance of making a positive impact on the people, the environment and the communities across our supply chain. This is made possible through valued partnerships with family owned factories and artisan collectives that share my commitment to cherishing craft, ensuring fair compensation and protecting workers’ health and safety.
